About Sarah

Dr Sarah Hughes is a respected clinical psychologist, author, and media commentator. 

Sarah has over 10 years of clinical experience and is best known for her work with teenage girls, in women’s mental health, and her practical (and real) parenting advice.  She’s an authority on everything from toddler tantrums and teenage drama to body image, work/life balance, and relationships – parenting, personal, and professional.

The author of two books, Skip The Drama and Parenting Made Simple, Sarah offers straightforward and practical advice to help parents navigate the rabbit warren that is parenting. 

Sarah regularly appears as a commentator on television, radio and print media where her relatable and down-to-earth communication style connects with a wide audience.

Dr Hughes completed her clinical training at the University of Sydney and holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in child and adolescent anxiety disorders and founded Think Clinical Psychologists in 2011.

She lives in Sydney with her un-husband Shane, son, Harrison, 2, and dog Max, and keeps her marbles in place with coffee and running…mainly coffee.
